Thanks for stopping by my site.

If you're looking for "Sole Authorship" 100% custom handmades, take a look around & see if something I build could work for you.

I am a mainly a stock removal maker, I leave the forging to those strong enough to swing the hammer all day. I will forge on occasion, have experimented with the process a few times just to become familiar with what it takes to accomplish and view the results.

I currently like to work with 01, 1095, 1084, and occasionally 5160 in the high carbon blade steels. I also use stainless, mostly 440C and ATS34 because of their less complicated and costly heat treating and tempering demands. I do all my own heat treating and tempering of both carbon and stainless, thanks to Evenheat and their capable & easy to program knife ovens. I love using Damascus, especially on the large display quality bowies, fighters, and sub-hilts. I buy my Damascus in bulk quantities in large billets and have a ball turning them into beautiful and functional pieces of "Knife Art".

Professional engraving for the blades is also available, both pentagraph diamond cut & lazer. I use local artisans for this process & charge exact costs to add this feature to your blade. So if you just want a name on your knife, or a complete paragraph added, you pay the actual invoice cost only, no marking up by me.

All my knives ans sheath's are 100% handmade from raw materials, the only exception being snaps on my belt loops & screw hardware for my folders.

I love to work with the exotic burls, usually stabilized blocks bought from several different suppliers. I also use a lot of antler, water buffalo horn, oosic, ivory, Sambar Stag, etc. and several other exotics on occasion like Mammoth Bark Ivory , Abalone & Mother-of-Pearl scales on some of the more high end gent's folders.

My favorite style is the hidden, or "stick" tanged knife because of all the unlimited choices in design and insert materials. I also build full tang knives and mortise tang styles in both Damascus and carbon or stainless steels.

Multi-material combination handles are my main forte, an area which seems to bring out the best in me and give me the most satisfaction while building one. Shown below are different combinations built in the nature of which I speak.
