Just a little about me personally and my knifemaking experience.

Another bent pole, darn the luck!!!

My name is Frank Bradley. My wife Cherie, a Technician for our local Veterinarian, her sister Kay and our combined 8 cats & 2 dogs (currently) live in a very beautiful small community named Weaverville, located at the base of the Trinity Alps in Northern California. The town is rich with history from the Gold Rush days, a very relaxed atmosphere amongst some of the finest hunting and fishing in the West, attracting sportsmen and tourists alike all year round. Trinity is the only county in California to not have even one stop light, our residents prefer things that way and hope we never have any.

I still have the first knife I ever built in 1974 using a factory blade & a piece of Blacktail antler from a buck I harvested. It bounced around and got thrown in a corner & I never thought much about it for many years until I was involved in a motorcycle accident in 1996 which left me unable to continue my career as a Union Ironworker. At my doctor's advice I found a hobby which quickly grew into a passion. Knifemaking gets in your blood and becomes an addiction unto itself. I've been doing it constantly now for close to 8 years and have never once gotten even a little bored with it. Of course, I spend some time fishing during the warm weather seasons to re-charge the old batteries.

Most of my models are hunting or fishing oriented designs although I have produced many different styles over the past few years. Currently I have built and sold knives in all 50 states, several dozen have been sent to Canada, several dozen more to countries throughout the world including Japan, China, Thailand Australia, Guam, Laos, Indonesia, France, Italy, and well over 50 to Great Britain. I build and will ship worldwide, either on a specially ordered piece or from my ebay sales auctions.

A peek into the gallery photo files will capture the essence of all my work, the styles I like to build, the materials I like to use, etc., plenty of eyeballing stuff there if you take a few moments to view it.

I welcome special orders & try to never allow the list to get too long that I can't build someone's knife within 30 days at the very most. Normally a week to 10 days is all that's required to have one built. I don't require any deposits, I simply build the knife, send pictures to the prospective new owner, and then handle the payment and shipping.

I list knives on ebay most all year, user ID mooser1111, and am priviledged to have met many great friends at the site. I will also show knives for sale here on the site when available. I accept personal checks, money orders, credit cards with Paypal, user ID fandc@dcacable.net

I'm often accused of selling my knives at ridiculously low figures, I know my work will command more than I charge, but this knife thing is a hobby for me, it doesn't pay my bills. I've built & sold to multi-millionaires as well as the working stiffs of this nation of ours & try to bring a product to someone's home that they don't have to re-finance their house to afford. All the money from the sale of the knives goes right back into supplies, tools and equipment to build some more. I'm glad that I can't swing a golf club any longer since the accident, that's a hobby that definitely won't pay for itself as do the knives.

While you're visiting the site, please take a few moments to view my links page, all the folks listed there are top notch at what they do or what they produce to sell, 100% made in America craftsmen that will treat you with respect and provide the maximum bang for your buck at what they do.
